What we collect

When you create an account we store your name, email address, and a hashed password. When you create or vote in a poll we store the poll data and a voter identifier to prevent duplicate votes.

How we use it

Your data is used solely to operate VoteBeacon: authenticating you, recording votes, and displaying results. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties.

Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you logged in. No tracking or advertising cookies are used.

Data storage

All data is stored on Cloudflare's global network using D1 (SQLite). Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text.

Data deletion

You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us at privacy@votebeacon.com.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the email associated with your account.
